Responsibilities:
Ensure consistent staff adherence to state & federal regulations via purposeful daily rounding and providing staff feedback.
Oversees nursing staff assignment & makes certain nursing hours are achieved each shift to meet the needs of residents.
This includes adherence to budget and state & federal regulations.
Oversees the evaluation process for nursing staff performance at the end of the 90-day probation period, annually & PRN.
Consistently strives to achieve a 5-star rating for CMS quality measures (QMs) via weekly review of such measures, including action plan to immediately resolve identified concerns.
Serves as a role model and ensures customer service standards are met on a consistent basis.
Encourages effective communication amongst all team members, including residents & resident representatives via staff attendance at care conferences, team attendance at shift huddles, monthly staff meetings, use of the PCC communication board, one call now system & one on one meetings.
Holds staff accountable.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse RN with over a years' experience in nurse leadership of a long-term care setting (ADON or DON) Must have knowledge of state and federal regulations Experience with geriatric & rehabilitation populations
