Stone County Specialties is in search of an Accounting Clerk to provide direct administrative assistance to the Bookkeeper by providing right-hand support with financial, administrative & clerical tasks.
The person in this position must be a proactive individual who values attention to detail, organization and accuracy.
The ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks is paramount.
This position is entry to mid-level with room for growth and learning.
This is a full-time position and includes a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.
The responsibilities of this position include:
Provide general accounting and clerical support Invoicing & accounts receivable, including ensuring that receivables are collected in a timely manner Maintain customer and vendor accounts within Quickbooks Maintain company files so they remain updated & easily accessible Perform basic accounting entries/journal entries Work with the Bookkeeper & outside Accountants on any special projects or tasks Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested The requirements for this position include:
Associate's degree or higher in Accounting or similar field preferred Proven experience as an accounting clerk or other clerical office position Familiarity with office procedures and accounting principles Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications as well as Quickbooks Enterprise Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized and motivated
